How to Customize an RSVP Form in Canva

Canva forms can be added to designs and websites to collect responses. Use only the questions you genuinely need, and review how the information will be stored and shared.

1. Edit the form

  1. Select the existing form in your template.
  2. Choose the form editing control.
  3. Update the title, instructions, questions, fonts, and colors.
  4. Remove questions that do not apply and add any necessary event questions.

Suggested RSVP fields

  • Guest name
  • Attendance response
  • Names of additional invited guests, when applicable
  • Meal selection or dietary information, when genuinely needed
  • A short optional message

Avoid collecting sensitive information that is not required for the event.

2. Test the guest experience

  1. Preview the website.
  2. Submit a test response using a non-sensitive test entry.
  3. Confirm that every required field is clear.
  4. Check the confirmation experience and return navigation.

3. View responses

Select the form and open the Responses area. Canva can display individual and summarized responses, and may offer the option to open the data in a linked Canva Sheet.

4. Protect response information

  • Do not share edit access to the design with guests.
  • Limit editor access to people who should see the responses.
  • Do not publish screenshots or exports containing guest information.
  • Delete test responses if they could cause confusion.

Before sending the website

Submit one final test from the published site, confirm the response appears, and tell guests whether each person or each household should submit the form.
