How to Add a Countdown Timer to a Canva Website
A countdown timer can show the time remaining until your wedding or event. Canva's Apps Marketplace includes a Countdown Timer app powered by TickCounter.
1. Open the timer app
- Open your Canva website design.
- Select Apps and search for Countdown Timer.
- Open the app and review its permissions and terms before using it.
2. Configure the countdown
- Enter the correct event date and time.
- Select the correct time zone.
- Choose the units and wording you want guests to see.
- Adjust colors, fonts, background, and borders to match the design.
3. Add it to the website
Follow the app's prompts to add the timer to the design. If your template contains a placeholder, replace the placeholder rather than layering the new timer over it.
4. Test it
- Preview the website on desktop and mobile.
- Confirm the date, time zone, and remaining time are correct.
- Publish the site and test the live version.
- Check again after any major Canva or app update.

The timer is supplied by a third-party Canva app, so availability and controls can change. A visitor may also need a working internet connection for the live timer to load.
