How to Publish a Canva Website

Complete your edits and test every page before publishing. Canva's labels may vary slightly as the editor changes.

1. Preview the website

  • Check every page in desktop and mobile preview.
  • Test buttons, page links, external links, forms, and embedded elements.
  • Proofread all public page titles and text.

2. Open the publishing settings

  1. Select Publish Website.
  2. Add the website title and, if available, a favicon or social preview image.
  3. Choose whether to use password protection.
  4. Choose whether to show the navigation menu.
  5. Keep mobile resizing enabled unless your product instructions say otherwise.

3. Choose the address

Select an available Canva-hosted address or connect a custom domain if your Canva plan and domain setup support it. Choose carefully, use a simple readable address, and avoid personal information that should not be public.

4. Publish and test

  1. Publish the website and copy its public URL.
  2. Open the URL in a private or incognito browser window.
  3. Test it on both a phone and a computer.
  4. Confirm that password protection, forms, links, and navigation work as expected.

After making changes

Return to the design, make the edit, and use Publish changes or the current republish control. Then reopen the public site and test the changed area.

Privacy reminder

A published website can be accessed by anyone who has its URL unless protection is enabled. Avoid publishing private addresses, phone numbers, guest lists, or other sensitive information unless you understand who can access it.
