Photo Booth Save the Date Template Tutorial

Your purchase includes a PDF with a link to the editable Photo Booth Save the Date template. The link opens the design in Canva and creates a separate copy in your own account, so you can customize it without changing the original.

1. Open the template from your PDF

  1. Download and open the PDF included with your purchase.
  2. Click the template link or button inside the PDF.
  3. Sign in to Canva or create a free account if prompted.
  4. Select Use template or Use template for new design. Canva will create your own editable version.

You do not need to request access. The template link automatically gives you a personal copy to edit.

2. Add your photos

  1. Open Uploads in Canva's left panel and select Upload files.
  2. Upload the photos you want to use in the photo booth frames.
  3. Drag each photo onto a frame until it snaps into place.
  4. Double-click a photo to crop, enlarge, or reposition it. Select Done when it looks right.

For the best result, use clear, high-resolution photos and keep faces away from the edges of each frame.

3. Edit the wording

  • Click each text box and replace the sample wording with your names, date, and event details.
  • Use the top toolbar to adjust the font, size, color, spacing, or alignment.
  • Keep the most important details easy to read, especially your names and date.

4. Customize the design elements

  • Click an element to change its color, size, or position.
  • Drag a corner handle to resize it proportionally.
  • Use Duplicate to copy an element or the trash icon to remove it.
  • Avoid stretching photos or moving important details too close to the edge.

Canva saves your edits automatically as you work.

5. Check the final design

  • Proofread every name, date, and detail.
  • Make sure all photos are centered and sharp.
  • Check that text is aligned and easy to read.
  • Review the entire design at 100% zoom before downloading.

6. Download your Save the Date

  1. Select Share, then Download.
  2. Choose PNG for texting, emailing, or sharing online.
  3. Choose PDF Print if you plan to have it professionally printed. Add crop marks and bleed only if your printer requests them.
  4. Select Download and save the finished file to your device.
