How to Share Your Canva Website and Create a QR Code
Share the published website URL, not the editable Canva design link. Test the public link before sending it to guests.
Copy the correct website link
- Publish the website.
- Open the public URL in a private browser window.
- Confirm that guests can view the site without editor access.
- Copy the URL from the live website.
Ways to share
- Text or messaging app: Best for a short personal message and direct link.
- Email: Useful when you need to include instructions, a password, or RSVP details.
- QR code: Useful on printed save the dates, invitations, signs, or enclosure cards.
Create a QR code in Canva
- Open the design that will contain the QR code.
- Select Apps and search for Canva's Static QR codes app.
- Paste the tested public website URL.
- Generate the code and add it to the design.
- Keep adequate blank space around the code and make it large enough to scan.
Test before printing
- Scan the QR code from the Canva preview.
- Download the print file and scan the code from that exported file.
- Print one proof at actual size and scan it with more than one phone when possible.
- Place a short written URL near the code as a backup and for accessibility.
Guest message checklist
