Animated Photobooth Bridesmaid Proposal

Use this guide to personalize your Sixtylight Animated Photobooth Bridesmaid Proposal in Canva. You will create a separate version for each person, replace the photos, update the role and wording, preserve the animation, and download the finished proposal as an MP4 video.

Final format: This is an animated digital product. Download the completed design as an MP4 Video, not as a printable PDF or static image.

Template note: The product listing and included instructions determine which elements are editable. Text and photo frames are typically editable, while some animated or decorative elements may be fixed.

Before you start

  • Choose clear, high-resolution photos for each recipient.
  • Make a list of names and roles, such as Bridesmaid, Maid of Honor, Matron of Honor, Junior Bridesmaid, or Flower Girl.
  • Keep the access PDF from your purchase available.
  • For the easiest editing and timing review, use Canva on a desktop or laptop.

1. Open your template from the PDF

  1. Download and open the PDF included with your purchase.
  2. Select the template link or button inside the PDF.
  3. Sign in to Canva, or create an account if prompted.
  4. Select Use template or Use template for new design. Canva will create an editable copy in your account.
  5. Rename the design so it is easy to identify.

You do not need to request editing access. Use the buyer template link in the PDF to create your own version.

2. Make one copy for each person

  1. Keep one clean master copy before personalizing anyone's proposal.
  2. Duplicate the design for each member of your wedding party.
  3. Give each copy a clear name, such as Ava - Animated Bridesmaid Proposal.

This prevents one person's names, photos, or role from accidentally appearing in another person's video.

3. Personalize the wording

  • Replace the sample recipient name and proposal question.
  • Update the role everywhere it appears.
  • Add your name, wedding date, or a short personal message if the design includes those fields.
  • Keep longer names or messages readable by adjusting the font size or line spacing slightly.
  • Do not leave sample text or placeholder names in the final video.

4. Replace the photobooth images

  1. Open Uploads in Canva and select Upload files.
  2. Upload the photos for that recipient.
  3. Drag each photo onto a photo frame until it snaps into place.
  4. Double-click the placed photo to crop, enlarge, or reposition it.
  5. Keep faces and important details inside the visible frame.

For a cohesive photobooth look, use images with similar brightness and apply the same color treatment to every photo. See How to Add, Crop, and Edit Photos in Canva for detailed photo help.

5. Edit without losing the animation

  • Preview the design after replacing text, photos, or elements.
  • Avoid deleting or ungrouping animated layers unless you intend to rebuild their animation.
  • If you move or resize an element, confirm that it remains visible for the full intended scene.
  • Review the order, duration, and transitions of every page or scene.
  • If the template includes audio, listen to the full preview and confirm that the timing and volume work with the animation.

Canva saves edits automatically, but keeping a clean master copy makes it easy to start over if an animation is changed accidentally.

6. Preview the complete proposal

  1. Select Canva's Preview or play control.
  2. Watch the animation from beginning to end without skipping.
  3. Confirm that each name, role, photo, and message appears long enough to read.
  4. Check that photo crops do not shift during the animation.
  5. Make sure no sample text, placeholder photos, or editing notes remain.

7. Download as an MP4 video

  1. Select Share, then Download.
  2. Choose MP4 Video as the file type.
  3. Select every page or scene that belongs in the proposal.
  4. Select Download and allow Canva time to render the video.
  5. Open the downloaded MP4 and watch it from beginning to end before sending it.

Do not send the editable Canva design or buyer template link. Send the finished MP4 file.

8. Share the finished video

  • Send the MP4 by text, email, or your preferred messaging app.
  • Test the video on a phone before sending it to the recipient.
  • If a messaging app reduces the quality, send the original MP4 by email or through a private file-sharing link.
  • Save the final file with the recipient's name, such as Ava-Bridesmaid-Proposal.mp4.

9. Repeat for the rest of your wedding party

Return to the clean master copy or duplicate a finished version. Replace every name, role, photo, personal message, and other detail that changes. Preview and export each recipient's version separately as an MP4 video.
